Aurora’s Grid is a Swiss Company actively developing software to interface with Lithium-ion battery system. Its main originality relies on the battery lifetime extension (up to 40%) and on the possibility of integrating multiple and simultaneous services, such as peak-shaving, renewable self-consumption, and frequency control. Moreover, the team has more than 10 years of experience on testing and analyzing performances of Li-ions cells manufactured by Leclanché.
Leclanché headquartered in Switzerland, is a leading provider of high-quality energy storage solutions
designed to accelerate our progress towards a clean energy future. Leclanché’s history and heritage is
rooted in over 100 years of battery and energy storage innovation and the Company is a trusted
provider of energy storage solutions globally. This coupled with the Company’s culture of German
engineering and Swiss precision and quality, continues to make Leclanché the partner of choice for
both disruptors, established companies and governments who are pioneering positive changes in how
energy is produced, distributed and consumed around the world. The energy transition is being driven
primarily by changes in the management of our electricity networks and the electrification of
transport, and these two end markets form the backbone of our strategy and business model.
Leclanché is at the heart of the convergence of the electrification of transport and the changes in the
distribution network. Leclanché is the only listed pure play energy storage company in the world,
organized along three business units: stationary storage solutions, e-Transport solutions, and specialty
batteries systems.
Railway market, to decarbonize the environment, has turned to Lithium-ion batteries. Some key actors
have therefore chosen LSA as a preferred supplier.
To increase its testing capabilities, Leclanché has selected Aurora’s Grid to collaborate on the
development of a software that will ensure all the testing features expected for End of Line Test for
large Li-ion battery production.
Within this collaboration, Aurora’s Grid will provide its skills and effort for finalizing this automatized
test bench for Li-ion battery packs. Aurora’s Grid acquired a large experience on Leclanché cells
through its investigation during 10 years of deep testing on cell performances.
“I still remember first day in 2012, that I tested Li-ion NMC and LTO manufactured by Leclanché. Today
is an honor to help such a sustainable company on delivering high quality for their clients” said Dimitri Torregrossa, Founder and CEO of Aurora’s Grid LLC.
